Review:
This cookbook is the result of a collaborative work carried out by the students from the elementary and the intermediate levels of English from the Language School of Jerez (the land of sherry) and framed within the European Socrates program, which has one specific action named Grundtvig, centered on adult education.

From 2010 to 2012, the EOI Jerez participated as a coordinator in a Grundtvig project called Working languages for European encounters with two other European partners: A Swedish vocational school, Sjöviks Folkhögskola (Avesta, Dalarna) and a primary and secondary school in Turkey, Özel Gebze Egitim Kurumlari (Gebze, Kocaeli ). One of the goals of this project was to promote the regional identity, which we wanted to enhance with the publication of this cookbook. During the academic year 2010-2011, students from the elementary level visited a monument, the Alcázar, famous for the location of an oil mill inside it, very important fruit crop until the mid-nineteenth century in this location. Based on this visit, students contributed with a recipe which has, as one of its main ingredients, olive oil. The following academic year 2011-2012, the visit took place at the Bee and Honey Museum, where the intermediate level students had the chance to learn about the amazing world of bees, beekeeping in history and bee products. This time the ingredient for the recipe was honey.

Both recipes had to be written in English, be typical from the area of Jerez and be accompanied by a photo taken by the students themselves after its elaboration. After two years of compilation and correction, this cookbook was brought to light. It contains the most representative dishes (starters, main courses and desserts) of this Andalusian town.

The recipes are written in an enjoyable way, simple and easy to understand and to elaborate even by the most inexperienced and beginner chefs, since one of our intentions was to bring closer and show these easy to make dishes to foreign audiences and, at the same time, to improve learning and understanding of the English language among students of English language as a foreign language.
